Building Compassionate Communities Forum – Launceston

Palliative Care Tasmania are holding a forum titled “Building Compassionate Communuties: How Far We’ve Come – Networking End of Life Support across Tasmania”.

The workshop will look at the important role of palliative care including community and volunteer support. It will demonstrate how diversity and cultural/spiritual needs can be addressed around end of life care. Community Projects funded by Palliative Care Tasmania will share their insights around how small groups can raise awareness, offer bereavement support as well as build capacity around end of life issues at the local level.

The forum will be held in Launceston at the Tailrace Centre in Riverside on Friday, the 18th of March. Registration will open at 8:30am for a 09:00am start. Morning tea and lunch are provided.

The forum is free of charge and places are limited, therefore registration is essential. Registrations close on COB Friday, March 11th.
