Dr Ivan Zwart is originally from Hobart and attended UTAS where he completed his Doctorate in deliberative democracy (community engagement) in the early 2000’s. He went on to work in a range of community engagement, training, consulting, and research roles. Ivan is also passionate about improving the mental health of others. After recovering from some difficult mental health challenges, in 2013 he started a business called Happy Ground Wellbeing, and moved to Flourish in 2019 after working as a consumer representative. He is now the Peer Work Coordinator for the Flourish Peer Work Service, which will train, support and place peer workers in the Tasmanian mental health system. If you are interested in peer work, Ivan would love to hear from you.
