Martyn Mann
NDIS Peer Worker

Marty came to Flourish having spent the past 17 years in Employment Services. The past six of those were as a manager in Disability Employment Services where the majority of the jobseekers’ primary disability was due to mental health. He has completed a Certificate IV in Community Services and is currently studying his Diploma in Counselling.

Marty was drawn to the peer worker role with Flourish as he saw it as an ideal opportunity to follow his passion of showing kindness, support, and compassion to people in need. He is currently walking his own journey of anxiety and depression and understands the power of lived experience when forming genuine connection and relationship with people. “If my own struggles can help me in some way offer help to others with mental ill-health, then it gives it purpose” is a truism that Marty leans in to regularly.

Marty has an eclectic range of hobbies including sport, board games, and live music. He also loves spending time with his young family which include a teenage daughter and 11 year old identical twin boys.
